Hello there! Could you please tell me how did you do the ''scars'' on his forehead? Is that latex? And the earrings, are they handmade or bought? Thank you! :D

yes i made them with latex, first i modeled with clay on a smooth surface, then i make a mold with plaster, and put latex inside de mold layer by layer until i get the thickness i wanted, i made the same with the earings, with a plaster mold, the diference with it is they are made of  polyurethane foam :D

If only I saw your respons earlier! I bought huge wooden circles so I could make some kind of big mayan earrings, but your idea with polyurethane foam is also pretty good! :)

i was based in this two elements:

the serpent vision
www.jonaybacallado.com/web/wp-…

and the second guy in this mayan mural
www.mayan-ruins.org/wp-content…

first make the earing form with clay the same way you want them to be, adds two layers of plaster, a fairly liquid and thicker after, when it wets dry remove the clay from the mold and then add some vaseline to can demold your piece, after that, pour the polyuretan in the mold and wait to get dry and demold, aply paint and thats it

at the end it was finished like this...

Do you have any other suggestions to make a mold? From any other material?
